Studio Terminology

  • Service Provider: This is the freelancer who is completing the work you have purchased.
  • Express Service Installations: Each express service has  predetermined scopes that are set by Studio. Our express services are the first step in getting your new website ready for launch. If you need additional services to set up your site, from adding content to customizing your new theme, talk to your freelancer about the services they offer, or browse through our services directory, for example, if you are looking for Wordpress installations check out our WordPress Customization category!
  • Enquiry: You have the option to request a customized proposal from our service providers. You do so by sending an enquiry to the service provider of your choice. Click on the “Contact me” link of the service you are interested in to communicate directly with the service provider. You may find that some service providers do not wish to accept any further enquiries outside of their allocated job. If you see that the 'Contact Me' button greyed out, this means that the provider is not accepting further enquiries.
  • Brief: This is the list of tasks for your service that you provide to your service provider. It is always good to make sure you have communicated this clearly at the start of your project to set expectations. Some examples of what you could include are: demo version to be installed, turnaround time, number of revisions, etc.
  • FTP/ Cpanel access: In order to upload files to your website, your service provider will need to access your site either with FTP or Cpanel access. You can find more information about this here. If you don’t know this information you will need to contact your hosting provider to obtain it.
  • Envato Market: Market is Envato’s digital marketplace. It is made up of ThemeForest, CodeCanyon, VideoHive, AudioJungle, PhotoDune. This is the place where you purchased and downloaded your item. We often refer to it simply as Market when we refer to it in the FAQ or in support tickets.
