Things to include in a Custom Job brief:

Custom jobs are great! You don’t have to stick to your existing services and can help your buyers tailor their projects to their specific needs. As a result of being less structured than a directory service it’s even more important that you agree with your buyer on the specifics of the scope before any work commences. We do strongly recommend that you have a clear brief of what that scope of the custom job includes (we have templates).

Recommended things to cover with your buyer and in your brief:

  • What are you installing?
  • What are you designing?
  • Are you customizing an existing theme or plugin? What happens if you run into technical issues with the item?
  • How long will the custom job take?
  • How many revisions are included? What happens if the buyer would like more revisions?
